Mrs. Olivia Serwaa Opare is a devoted Science Educationist and an enthusiastic advocate for Women's Empowerment. She serves as the Director of Science Education at Ghana's National STEM Resource Centre within the Ministry of Education and is also the STEM Ambassador for the Ghana Education Service. Additionally, she is the deputy focal point for AUDEA-NEPAD and affiliated with the Calestous JUMA Executive Dialogue (CJED) in Ghana. Olivia is the Government's contact for GLOBE-GHANA. Amid the COVID-19 pandemic, Mrs Opare contributed significantly by creating and presenting digital science lessons for primary and junior high schools for students in Ghana. Mrs Opare is recognized for her work in incorporating climate topics into the curriculum and training educators and students on climate change and green economy matters. Mrs Opare's role as a Curriculum Panel member and member of the Curriculum Writing Guide Team for Senior High Schools, underscores her dedication to enhancing education in Ghana. As a prominent advocate for STEM education, Olivia has presented papers at international conferences, focusing on STEM education and Science, Technology, and Innovation (STI), with a vision to transform Ghana and Africa into STEM-focused societies.
