Dr. Daniel Baffour-Awuah

Dr. Daniel Baffour-Awuah is an international skills development, science, technology and innovation specialist with over 25 years' experience in research in science, technology and innovation (STI) and technical and vocational education and training (TVET) planning and management in Africa, Asia and Europe. He has significant experience of strategic planning and research in science, technology and innovation management and sector/donor co-ordination, legislative and high-level STI and TVET policy analysis, dialogue and development; governance issues in the context of raising standards for program implementation. Dr. Baffour-Awuah has supported governments at various levels over the past 15 years to develop policies and strategies for STI and TVET. He has worked with various governments in preparation and implementation of national TVET policies, sector and institutional specific strategic plans, and their monitoring and evaluation. Dr. Daniel Baffour-Awuah has been facilitating and implementing capacity building for TVET trainers, facilitator and managers at various training institutions (pre-tertiary and tertiary levels). He has In-depth knowledge of African STI and TVET context and fruitful engagement with stakeholders within the TVET and STI sector. He has of recent years led the evaluation of previous TVET policies for the Kingdom of Eswatini and the Republic of Liberia, out of which he led the development of National TVET Policy (2022-2027) for the Republic of Liberia and National TVET Policy (2023-2028) for the Kingdom of Eswatini. Dr. Baffour-Awuah has also led the development of National TVET Teacher/Instructor Policy for the Republic of South Sudan (2023-2028). He is currently in the process of developing National TVET Policy for Guyana in the Caribbean.
